In today's vernacular, "Show us the receipt please" means...

Show us the proof that you really are who you say you are...

Show us the proof that you really can do what you say you can do.

Not only does the LORD expect the same thing from us as Christians...

But we are instructed to expect this of others claiming to be "Christians".

How can you really tell if someone is a genuine Christian or not?
